Established as a group in 2001 to meet the counseling needs in the greater Greenville, SC area, Greenville Counseling Associates currently consists of eight licensed therapists offering an array of counseling services. Amanda is a Licensed Professional Counselor whose passions include counseling adolescents, young women, and families. She received her Bachelors from Furman University and her Masters in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, specializing in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy.
While in graduate school, Amanda interned at Daybreak Pregnancy Center helping women in crisis pregnancy situations evaluate their options. She also interned with Family Continuity Program, a home-based crisis family counseling center that worked alongside the Massachusetts Department of Social Services to provide help to families in need.
After receiving her Masters, Amanda worked as an Adolescent and Family Counselor at Park Cities Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas. She counseled families and adolescents dealing with eating disorders, relationship issues, adjustment issues, depression, anxiety, and divorce care recovery. She also served as a Youth Discipler and mentored high school and college age girls in the Dallas area. Amanda received further training in counseling women with eating disorders at Remuda Ranch in Arizona, a highly regarded eating disorder center.
Amanda, her husband, and son live in Greenville, SC and attend Grace Church. Amanda loves spending time with her family and friends, getting to know new people, watching good movies, being outdoors, and baking.

Ashley has a Masters in Counseling from Clemson University and has been a practicing counselor since 2002. Ashley is Nationally Board Certified (NBCC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for the State of South Carolina. Ashley has counseled in a variety of clinical settings, including multiple inpatient hospitalization and intensive outpatient settings where she led groups, counseled individuals, and led family therapy sessions. Ashley has been counseling in private practice since 2003 and was previously with Hampton Heights Community Counseling Center until joining Greenville Counseling Associates in 2013.
Ashley’s passions include working with adolescents, women, couples, and families in the areas of eating disorders, depression, anxiety, stress and anger management, trauma, life transition issues, and navigating family challenges.
Ashley has worked in a variety of ministry settings including youth ministry, Young Life, overseas missions, and teaching public school with middle school and high school students. Ashley has led marriage workshops and family support seminars in a variety of churches and clinical settings.
As a counselor, Ashley seeks to holistically integrate healthy psychological models with a foundation of biblical truth. Ashley is passionate about providing a safe and nurturing environment where individuals can feel encouraged and thoroughly supported in navigating the challenges of life.

As the founder of Greenville Counseling Associates, Daniel has a passion for helping individuals and families effectively work through the challenges of life.
Daniel has worked extensively with families and individuals in several settings including the development of two therapeutic programs, working as a school counselor, the development of lay counseling ministries, and private practice. Currently most of his time is spent working in a private practice setting with individuals, couples, and families. He typically works normal business hours but does see clients one evening per week.
Daniel earned his Masters in Counseling from Denver Seminary in Denver, Colorado, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina. Areas of specialties include: marital difficulties, college students, adolescents, life adjustment issues, anxiety & depression, stress management, parenting, and men’s issues.
Daniel is an in network provider with all Blue Cross / Blue Shield insurance companies, for several Employee Assistance Program panels, and a preferred out of network provider for several other insurance companies.
He, his wife, and their three sons have lived in the Greenville area since 1998. He enjoys being outside (camping, hiking, mountain biking), being downtown, laughing, and being known by friends. Daniel and his family regularly worship at Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church.
Mary is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Addictions Counselor Level II. She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA and her Masters in Counseling from Webster University in Greenville, SC.
Mary loves to work with couples, families, and individuals who are dealing with stressful life circumstances and desire to make positive changes in their lives. She enjoys helping her clients believe in themselves and their abilities. She has experience working with couples to help them create a fulfilling relationship and make positive decisions for their future. Mary also works with clients who are recovering from a divorce and need a fresh start with renewed confidence and a new outlook on life.
In addition, Mary has spent many years working with trauma victims. She understands the dynamics of domestic violence and recovery from sexual assault. As a Certified Addictions Counselor, Mary works with family members of addicted loved ones as well as those individuals wondering if they may have a substance abuse problem.

Nan has her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and has been a practicing counselor since 1994. Prior to moving to the Upstate, she worked with the nationally known Minirth Meier Clinic in Chicago, Illinois where she counseled individuals, couples and families. Nan has been in private practice since moving to Greenville in 1998 and works in a variety of need areas such as: couple & family issues, adolescent & teen problems, anxiety and depression, stress management, life adjustment, parenting issues, post-traumatic stress(EMDR certified), and women’s needs.
Nan has been a speaker and a workshop leader in a wide variety of contexts such as professional organizations, schools, and churches. Some of these include, but are not limited to: Brookwood Church, 1st Baptist Church of Taylors, Shannon Forest Church & School, Easley Business & Professional Women’s Organization, First Presbyterian Church, and Rosewood House of Recovery. She also has a background of several years in lay ministry. She was a youth leader and counselor with Chicago Urban Young Life, and has been involved with leadership training with the Navigators, an international college and community organization.
Nan is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPCS) in the state of South Carolina. She is also a Network Representative with Steve Arturburn’s New Life Ministries and Dave Ramsey’s VowSavers.
As a counselor, Nan seeks to come alongside clients to encourage, coach, guide and educate. She especially enjoys helping women work through difficult life situations which may stem from a variety of situations such as stage of life issues, past wounds and relationship needs. She sees counseling as a collaborative process that allows an individual to work toward clear and concrete strategies for personal growth, healing, and change.

Meredith has been working in the counseling field for over 30 years and has been in the Greenville area since 1987.
She earned her masters degree in Counseling and Human Development in 1984 and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Meredith has worked and managed counseling programs in outpatient, hospital, corporate, and private practice settings. For ten years, she was employed by a local international corporation as an Employee Assistance Program counselor where she provided training, counseling, and crisis intervention to employees and their family members.
Meredith is committed to working with couples to develop respectful, trusting and healthy relationships through the use of improved communication skills. Specialties include: premarital, marital and couple counseling, workplace and other stress management, anger management, depression, anxiety, bipolar, elder care, and addiction issues.

Chris is a South Carolina State Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a National Certified Counselor (NCC), a Masters Addictions Counselor (MAC), and a Fellow in the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC).
His academic preparation includes a Bachelor of Arts from Ohio Wesleyan University, a Master of Divinity from Duke University, and a Master of Sacred Theology in Pastoral Counseling from Yale University. His clinical training includes a Clinical Pastoral Education Residency at Duke Medical Center, and advanced pastoral counseling training at the Presbyterian Samaritan Counseling Center in Charlotte, NC.
Chris has provided counseling for individuals, couples, teens and families in the Upstate of South Carolina for over 17 years. He provides assistance covering a wide range of issues for individuals and families as they deal with life’s challenges. Chris also specializes in providing counseling for addiction recovery concerns for both families and individuals.
Prior to establishing his pastoral counseling practice he had served as a pastor and hospital chaplain. He is an ordained United Methodist minister in the South Carolina Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Barbara is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Neurotherapist and received her Master’s degree in Counseling from Webster University in Greenville, SC.
She completed her postgraduate training in EEG Neurofeedback at the Neurofeedback Center in Vermont. Barbara is partnered in private practice with Greenville Counseling Associates and the Sterlingworth Center of the Upstate. Barbara is also employed by the Greenville Hospital System where she counsels groups and individuals.
Barbara treats a variety of disorders with Psychotherapy, Neurotherapy or a combination of both. Neurofeedback is an innovative alternative to medication that is used to treat a variety of disorders and is effectively used for performance enhancement. Barbara’s clinical interests include working with depression, anxiety, ADHD, bereavement and loss, post-traumatic stress disorder, life transition issues, and sleep disorders.
