Whether overwhelmed with life’s curveballs, stuck and uncertain of the next steps, or simply needing a different perspective, seeking help takes courage. I want you to feel safe, seen, heard, and valued as you identify goals in becoming a healthier version of yourself.

My name is Cary Hargrove. I am a pastor’s wife and mother of four nearly grown children (biological and adopted). A Licensed Professional Counselor with Greenville Counseling Associates, I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Furman University and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary. I have maintained my license for 25 years and practiced in a variety of counseling settings. In my free time, I enjoy walking on the Swamp Rabbit Trail, painting old furniture, attempting new recipes, and anticipating the next fun road trip with family or friends.

Formal education coupled with professional and personal experience fuel my passion for helping others navigate life’s stressors and transitions. Areas of specific interest include mental health challenges, marital issues, parenting, adoption, difficult relationships, infertility, and grief. I enjoy working with all ages and believe we can grow in every season.

My approach is compassionate, thoughtful, curious, and relaxed – aiming to put you at ease. I recognize that each person is unique, bringing his or her own set of strengths and challenges. I want to offer hope, meeting you where you are and equipping you with the tools needed to move forward. It would be a privilege to share in your journey.
