Tate is a Greenville native who has been working as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the area for the past several years. She enjoys working with college students, young adults, adolescents, children, and women as they navigate through life. She received her bachelor’s degree, Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S) from Clemson University.
While in graduate school, Tate interned at Clemson University’s Counseling and Psychological Services Department where she provided counseling to college students. She also interned at Greenville Mental Health Center in their school-based program, where she provided counseling at a local middle school.
After receiving her master’s, Tate worked at Greenville Mental Health in their school-based program at a local elementary and middle school. Tate also worked at our affiliate group, City Center Counseling Ministries, counseling individuals ranging from children to adults in the private practice setting. After becoming fully licensed in Spring 2017, Tate joined Greenville Counseling Associates.
Tate enjoys meeting clients where they are and creating a non- judgmental, empathetic environment in which clients can process through and work towards their hopes in life. She primarily operates from the Cognitive Behavioral and Person Centered Theories, always incorporating evidence-based practices. She is very strengths focused and is passionate about helping others grow in their awareness of their positive traits.
Tate and her husband live in Greenville, SC with their two sons and golden retriever. Tate loves spending time with her friends and family, exploring the outdoors, reading, and running.

Tate is not paneled with insurance companies. She offers a superbill receipt that clients can submit to insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
